Responsibilities: 

My responsibilities include advising to the sitting president and executive board and to offer advice to the direction of the organization. Responsibilities of National Student President include connecting AE students across the country and planning for the Workshop for Student Chapter Leaders at the AEI Conference.

​

Helpful tip: Always be asking questions and seeking out ways to be improving yourself. Architecture and Engineering are disciplines that take many years to become proficient in. By asking questions and seeking out opportunities to become a better student and professional, you will become a great engineer and find yourself with many opportunities.

Jessica Wilson

Vice President

Responsibilities: As the Vice President, I help run networking and volunteer events as well as aid the President in a variety of AEI activities. I aim to provide a multitude of opportunities for AEI members throughout their journey in AE.

As Class Chair, I work to engage the Class of 2024 in AEI. I aim to find how AEI can help the class, thus bringing more membership to AEI.

Helpful tip: Do not be afraid to ask for help or accept help when offered. We are all here to help each other grow personally and professionally.

Nick Emig

Technology Chair

 Fourth Year, Class of 2023

Responsibilities:  As the technology chair I manage the AEI Website, act as a resource for AE software related issues/questions, and create promotional material.

​

Helpful tip: Use a spreadsheet to track job applications. I recommend Notion, but Excel works as well :)

Responsibilities: As secretary, I am responsible for sending emails prior to General Body Meetings, taking meeting notes and attendance, creating surveys for event planning, and recruiting new members.

As class chair, I collect input from my graduating class to improve AEI, strive to create a cohesive community among all classes, and I serve as a connection between the executive team and general members.

​

Helpful tip: Step out of your comfort zone and never be afraid to ask for help! These 5 years go by fast so take advantage of every opportunity.

Molly Blair

Multi-Media Chair

 Second Year, Class of 2025

Responsibilities: 

My responsibilities are to run AEI’s social media accounts. This entails interacting with employers, students, and faculty in a professional manner as well as posting about meetings and fun events we have! Lastly, I am responsible for taking pictures to post on our social media accounts and add to the website.

​

Helpful tip: Never be afraid to try something new whether it’s a new food, reaching out to someone you don’t know, or taking a class you think might interesting.

Construction

Connections Intern

 Second Year, Class of 2025

Responsibilities: 

I share in the responsibilities of the Construction Connections chair. I aid in the process of the planning and implementation of Construction Connections events. I also maintain communication with employers in their participation in such events.

Responsibilities: As the Chapter President of AEI, I serve as the point of contact between members of our club and any external sources (such as faculty, industry professionals, and national members). I manage the executive team and maintain our schedule for the academic year. I help organize meetings and events to help students grow academically, professionally, and socially throughout the course of their program!

​

Helpful tip: Sleep more than you study, study more than you party, and party as much as you can! Don't be afraid to try new things. Have faith in yourself and trust that you are capable of doing anything you set out to do. Never hesitate to reach out for help, or just to talk! Remember to take brain breaks and enjoy the little things along the way.

David Finke

Construction Connections Chair 

 Fourth Year, Class of 2023

Responsibilities: As the Construction Connections Chair, I am responsible for recruiting companies interested in Architectural Engineering students for Co-Op and Full time positions to participate in this speed interviewing event. The Construction Connections event takes place every Fall and Spring semester. I attend meetings to plan the event and help the day of the event. I also gather company information and design a pamphlet for the event.

​

Helpful tip: It is never to late or early to get involved with student and industry clubs and events. Societies and Institutes are amazing networking and career progressing opportunities.

Shaelyn O'Brien

Treasurer

 Second Year, Class of 2025

Responsibilities: As Treasurer, I oversee AEI's finances. I manage our budget, provide input on financial decisions, and document all incoming funds, expenses, reimbursements, etc.

​

Helpful tip:  Get involved on campus! It is a great way to meet new friends and have fun. Plus, organizations like AEI open you up to academic support systems and networking opportunities that can be super helpful.

My responsibilities as Class Chair are to serve as the connection point between the class of 2026 and AEI by communicating meetings and events to them, as well as collecting their input.

Helpful tip: Use a planner to stay organized and on top of your assignments. Don't forget to take breaks and make time for yourself outside of school work!
